What an incredible February!!!
This was the first month of our Mother Love Fitness Challenge. The moms of Baby Boot Camp Mid Peninsula were certainly up to the challenge! Each of the participants made tremendous gains in the strength component.
Overall, our team gained by 199% from where we started the month. That reflects a lot of hard work. Here is the breakdown:
Jump Squats: Increased by 424%
We did have two National winners on our team. Erin Inan, 1st place, averaged 414.5 jump squats for the month. On the last day of testing, she did 1100 jump squats. Yes, that was 1,100. She jump squatted for close to 35 minutes non stop.
The second place finisher did 850 jump squats on the last day of class. Her average was 295.75.
When you take their figures out, our team averaged an increas of 169% gain on jump squats. Everyone got stronger and doubled their numbers.
It really goes to show what an important role your mind plays in exercise. When you think something isn't achievable - it isn't! However, once you witness higher numbers, see it happen, then you believe it is possible. As a result, you achieve!
Never doubt yourself or what you are capable and the sky is the limit!
We also tested out by completing as many push ups as possible. Overall, we gained 124% in this category and 50% on our planks.
That brings our overall team average to a gain of 199% in strength!
